Samuel Magdaleno was born in Mexico City and spent most of his childhood working with horses and Bull Riding in the Mexican rodeo circuit. In his early 20's he moved to the USA working in Buffalo Bills WIld West Show. He also worked in Japan, Indonesia and then came to the UK in 1988 to work at the American Adventure Theme Park where he trained all the horses for the shows. He also trained the staff and performed as a lassoo artist and entertainer.
After his time with the American Adventure, he started to work with problem horses and trained many horses here in the UK.
Throughout his training career he has worked with horses with many different problems and ahs also worked in many different disciplines ranging from polo horses to driving horses and even racing horses. In the last 8 years he has been training mainly quarter horses and ahs shown horses in the UK. In the last 2 years he's been successful in the show circuit with great acheivements in the arean with 'Blazin Chic Olena'. Sam Magdalena achievments for 2009:
He also coaches novice riders and in the last 2 years some of his pupils have achieved British Reining Green as Grass 2007 and 2008, Rookie rider 2007 and the all rounders awards at the East Coast Circuit in 2007. Sam has been indispensible again this year. He's trained me, my show horse - Peach, my youngsters Sassy and Winnie (both of whom came on beautifully under his care). In his free time, Sam showed Peach around the shows winning a plaque from the NRHA which is proudly displayed at home. We thought we'd give Sam a little holiday with no pressure by sending him to North Carolina for a little Futurity at the end of October 2010. Because we know he'll really enjoy the rest, we have also arranged for him to go to a slightly larger Futurity in Oklahoma City in November. Our hopes are therefore pinned on him winning his air fare back home!! You can contact Sam direct by This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
